Lance's X-Maytop
Lance Gray Pattern
The X-May series of flies started as a combination of the S&M Nymph and the Micro May. Lance prefers to tie the X-May with the wire holding in the tail and gill plate while at the same time creating the ribbed body. This allows a fast and durable body to be made. The olive color was the original and then he added brown, black, and red.

Jigged Hare's Eartop
Jigged version of the classic Hare's Ear Nymph
The Gold-Ribbed Hare's Ear Nymph is a sentimental favorite for most anglers. It is often one of the first flies a tyer learns which often results in it bering one of the first flies the anglers uses to catch a fish. No angler forgets that moment. Its effectiveness comes from the naturally spikey hare's mask dubbing with its natural tans & grays along with just enough flash from the tinsel ribbing to bring some attention to it as it dirfts. It is an extremely versatile fly that imitates many insects and is available in a classic Gold-Ribbed, Bead Head and Tungsten Jigged versions.
Jigged Princetop
Jigged version of the classic Prince Nymph
These standard flies are tied on Umpqua's Competition Jig Hook (C400BL) and our new Tungsten Slotted Beads (they are HEAVY). Much of the competition crowd is using this very hook much more frequently. They ride snag-free and have been proven to be very, very sticky, important when fishing in the "Worlds" when lost fish are a disaster.
