Tying Demonstration and JAM session with BCflytieguys Mark Yodogawa and Brian Hamanishi

BCFLYTIEGUYS Mark Yodogawa - Yodaflies and Brian Flyfishaholic Hamanishi will be in store tying some of their favorite stillwater flies. As they tie they will share their knowledge of BC Stillwater fishing. This will be an open discussion focused on flies, design, and strategy as well as general discussion of stillwater fly fishing techniques and their favorite set-ups. This is open to everyone.

Immediately following we will have a free tying session where customers can sit down and tie flies with Mark and Brian. Snacks and beverages will be provided. We have limited seating (16) for this part of the afternoon, so registration is a must. Please do not register if you may not be able to make it. Call our Surrey Store to sign up.

WADER LEAK TEST hosted by Patagonia

Do you think you might have a leak in your waders? Come visit us at our Surrey location on Saturday April 18th. Patagonia’s team will be on site and will leak test ANY PAIR of waders (regardless of brand, age, or model) for free! They will share tips on how to care for and clean your breathable outerwear. This is a great opportunity to get expert advice, potentially fix your waders, and keep you dry and in the water. Anyone who gets a pair of waders tested will be entered to win a prize, and all who attend will have an opportunity to purchase a new pair of Patagonia waders at a one time, one day only, special price.

<p>JOIN US for a day full of fun, food, presentations, and an opportunity to play with some of the new rods, reels, and lines on the market. Our primary focus is Spey casting but we will have single hand fly rods and lines for you to try too! </p>

<p>For those that have never attended the M&Y spey clave this is "THE" day to come and play with all of the different two handed rods and lines available through Michael & Young. It provides an excellent opportunity to try a spey rod for the first time, to tweak your exisiting rod finding the perfect line, to check out what's new, to build on your wish list, and to socialize with all the other double handed fanatics. And, while you are at it, you might as well enjoy a free BBQ lunch, enter your name in to win one of the many prizes donated by our supporters, and watch and listen to some of the many presenters. We will be selling raffle tickets for our draws with all proceeds going to the BC Steelhead Society and the BC Federation of Fly FIshers.</p>

<p>All of our major rod and line brands are represented by their sales representatives and/or designers who will participate in our demonstrations and work with you as you give it a go. You can cast different combinations till your arms fall off. In case of inclement weather there will be a covered area. Whether your a dyed in the wool spey tosser, rank beginner or even just thinking about getting into the long rods, this day is for you!</p>

<p>Some of our presenters to date include some of our incredible staff and world class spey casters - Tim Arsenault, Ryan Heitz, Ruben Breitkreutz, and Teddy Cosco..</p>

<p>You choose where you want your tickets to go!<br />
There are <strong>6 DIFFERENT RAFFLES</strong> for these tickets plus the <strong>LIMITED PITT RIVER TRIP RAFFLES</strong> (see below). 5 high value (PREMIUM) prizes, each with their own raffle, and a GENERAL raffle with a multitude of great prizes. All 5 of the “bins” for the <strong>PREMIUM </strong>prize raffles will be at the SSBC tent and the bin for the <strong>GENERAL</strong> raffle will be at the BCFFF tent. Note you do not have to purchase tickets at both and can enter your tickets into whichever of the raffles that you choose. Make sure you put them in the “bin” with the prizes that you would like to win.<br />
