"Designed during a World Championship in Sweden back in 2005 where very effective dry dropping fishing was needed to do well.
The secret was not only the technique but also the very effective dry fly they used. It was a "bulky" deer hair parachute caddis with oversized hackle to help stabilize it in turbulent water.
It changed into a long thin winged caddis with an upper wing built with the high vis fluorescent antron fibers. This bright Red (or orange) cape gave this pattern the name of Superman."
