Jig Nymph
Sooner or later fish wise up to anglers and their tricks. While Euro nymphs like Perdigons are deadly, largely due to their sink rates and the slow pace at which they bounce along the bottom, the more they are fished, the less effective they will become. The first thing that fish will wise up to is the profile of Euro nymphs, as they really don't resemble the insects that trout typically feed on. A huge, shiny, bulbous head and skinny little body with no legs is not nature's design. The Pugsly is another Euro/Western hybrid. It is super heavy with brass eyes, a brass bead and lead wire, yet it is relatively lean and has a super buggy profile, and is especially well suited for fast water. It suspends at roughly a 45 degree angle making it look like and emerging bug and it will quickly get down in the most demanding conditions. This a go-to fast-water fly that imitates both mayflies and stoneflies, has a great profile, and a superior sink rate.

Squirmy Worm Pattern
Everybody needs a squirmy wormy fly pattern in their fly box, and this one is devastatingly effective on trout streams. We designed ours with a CDC collar for extra movement and appeal, and tied them on a barbless jig hook with a tungsten bead to create the ultimate squirmy worm pattern.
