Powerlitetop
Very powerful!
A wonderful 14' Spey casting rod. This rod has a middle to tip action and is capable of placing the fly to the other side of the river. It is a beautiful rod with a traditional Spey casting action; but best of all, it gives the owner enormous versatility with his fishing.
Trout Speycastertop
Powerful trout spey rod
A slightly more powerful trout two hander with more mid action.
Bruce & Walker website says lines between 280-330 grains but the previous owner of this rod felt it was more of a #6 rod.
CF Burkheimer
Classic (Two-Hand)top
Deep Cedar Green Blank, Dark Anodized Aluminum Reel Seat.
Two-handed rods are synonymous with Spey casting. Some anglers come to embrace Spey casting for its seemingly effortless delivery, some for its romance and grace; whatever your draw there’s no denying the amazing utility of these rods in a wide variety of fishing situations.
Steelhead and Spey flies on the Thompson? Got it. Madison river browns and big sculpin patterns? Check. Stripers eating Clousers in the surf? You bet. Two-handers aren’t just for Atlantic salmon anymore, and our rods do it all.
And they do it well.
We design rods with wide grain windows, forgiving actions and loads of feel. Feel might seem like an esoteric thing, but it’s the tactile expression of the soul of a rod. Rods with feel enhance an anglers performance and enjoyment, and those things aren’t just the domain of guides or instructors. Talk to us about these rods and you may hear us describe them as having “grunt”, or “whump” or “hooahh”. That’s the Burkie feel, and you’ll feel it too.

CND Custom Design
Gravity Double Handed Rodstop
Based on the technology from our World Record holding competition rods
Based on the technology from the World Record holding CND F-1 and F-0.7 competition rods, we challenged Nobuo and our team to design the ultimate next generation spey rod for the angler.
The Gravity rods are faster and lighter than our previous series, but you will still recognise the unique deep CND feeling. The genius idea from Nobuo to use his thin mandrel taper combined with new materials is a work of a mastermind. The balance of a rod flexing and working well into the lower part, combined with an exceptional recovery, will create the line speeds you have only been dreaming of. With a special Nano pitch technology, we have managed to make layers of carbon thinner than ever before, which allowed us to add more layers with the BIAS VERSA technology. This gives you a rod that is extremely light and powerful, it is like you feel it opens up a new world.
All models have dark green blanks, black ALPS reel seats and flor grade cork quality handles. The only exception is the CND Gravity 15'6" is something unique and is built on a different mandrel than the rest of the series. We wanted to give it a retro look back to the old classic series, even though the action of the rod is completely different from the old Classic.
New for 2023 is the addition of 6-piece travel rods. While designing these rods, the mission was clear: No Compromises! A long development process resulted in the new Gravity 6-piece rods. We've used a mix of higher and lower modulus graphite in the different parts of the rod, to achieve just exactly the action we wanted. The rods will feel a little bit deeper than most 4-piece Gravity rods.

Boost Beachtop
A rod designed for overhead two-hand casting
A rod designed for overhead two-hand casting
The first of its kind: A two-hand rod specifically built for overhead casting. While most all two-hand rods are built with spey casting in mind, the Boost Beach's unique design is made with beach casters in mind.
Throw tight loops with less effort
Spey rods are designed to load deep in to the black to properly launch an anchored spey cast - the Boost Beach bucks this trend in favor of an action and power balance that allows for high line speed, tight loop casts using a lot less effort than a traditional two-hander.
Salmon, perch and halibut beware!
Whether stalking the lahontan cutthroat of Pyramid lake, stripers in Montauk, or beach cruising halibut in Southern California: there's no beach fishery this rod won't shine.
Compact Speytop
Our top-end performance sized for modern short-head lines.
With trends in modern spey lines getting increasingly compact, it was time the rods were designed with these new lines in mind. By using our years of spey rod development experience along with the expertise of spey casting champion Mariusz Wrobewski, we produced our most advanced spey rods we have ever produced. Spey lines have evolved since they hit the mainstream, yet the rods have remained largely the same. So we started from scratch to find the ideal flex and length to most effectively fish today’s most popular types of compact two-hand lines. As part of the greater family of new spey rods (Full Spey, Compact Spey, Trout Spey), these new rods are dialed for how today’s anglers fish their two hand rods. The Compact Spey comes in a standard 12′ length in 6wt, 7wt and 8wt perfect for modern compact spey lines.
Full Speytop
A Full Length Fast Action Spey Rod
A Full-Length Fast-Action Spey Rod:
Despite the trends for going shorter on all things in the two-hand world, there will always be a place for full length rods. By using our years of spey rod development experience along with the expertise of spey casting champion Mriusz Wrobewski, we produced our most advanced spey rods we have ever produced.
Action and Length for Modern Spey Lines:
Spey lines have evolved since they hit the mainstream, yet the rods have remained largely the same. So we started from scratch to find the ideal flex and length to most effectively fish today's most popular types of two-hand lines.
Our Lightest, Most Advanced Two Hand Series to Date:
As part of the greater family of new spey rods (Full Spey, Compact Spey, Trout Spey), these new rods are dialed for how today's anglers fish their two hand rods. The Full Spey comes in a standard 13' length in 6wt, 7wt and 8wt perfect for bigger water situations.
Kingtop
A progressive, medium-action spey rod with an extra-strong backbone.
Sick of rods that wilt under the strain of a sprinting 40-pound ‘Nook? No more – the King is your huckleberry. Progressive, medium-fast actions compliment the King’s extra-strong backbone to help comfortably lift and chuck massive tips and keep angry fish pinned. The 13 foot length offers the ideal amount of leverage without making tree-shaded areas a snagging nightmare.
SRtop
A fast action, versatile switch rod.
Fast actions and versatile sizes make the SR series the best stick for two-handed bug slingers that prefer a shorter rod. The #3-5 models are ideal for trout (and smallmouth!) everywhere, while the #6-8 handle larger anadromous fish with authority. Slick cosmetics and bombproof componentry help solidify the SR as the fishiest switch rod on the water.
Swingtop
The new Echo Swing Switch and Spey rods feature crisp actions and perfect power to fit a wide range of casting strokes and fishing situations without breaking the bank.
Have your cake and eat it, too! The new Echo Swing Switch and Spey rods feature crisp actions and perfect power to fit a wide range of casting strokes and fishing situations without breaking the bank. Unique switch rod sizes are dialed in for real fishing situations where you need serious backbone but don’t have the space for a full-sized spey. Swinging, skating or chucking bobbers – the new Swing is ready to play.
TR (Tim Rajeff) Speytop
Tim Rajeff’s fast action two hander. Built with a beefy butt section for those abrupt, bottom-hand power applications. Touch and go to Skagit casting, floating lines to big sink tips. It’s dialed.
Tim Rajeff’s fast action two hander. Built with a beefy butt section for those abrupt, bottom-hand power applications. Touch and go to Skagit casting, floating lines to big sink tips. It’s dialed.
Trout Speytop
Elite performance, downsized to trout-friendly weight sizes.
The new Trout Spey is specialized for when the bugs aren’t hatching and you want to cover the most amount of water with a sub-surface presentation. The Trout Spey is light weight and dialed for far more than just two-hand swinging with Skagit and Scandi heads: Flick an emerger off the tip, mend a country mile of line with an indicator nymph rig, tight-line nymph, fish a dry fly hatch, and anything else you may find yourself needing in ever-changing trout fisheries. Closely related to our other new flagship two-hand rods, the Full Spey and Compact Spey, the Trout Spey is part of the most advanced lineup of Spey rods we have ever produced.

IMX-PRO V2 ShortSpeytop
Actions that put the bug where your brain wants it every time
At G. Loomis, we buid tools that enhance natural ability, boost effectiveness, and expand tactical opportunity. We do this for the dawn patrollers. The mid-day grinders. The last-light renegades. For those that make time on the water a top priority. Introducing IMX-PRO V2 SHORTSPEY, a continuation of our 40-year commitment to provide anglers with actions that put the bug where your brain wants it every time.
Once considered a niche way to target fish, trout spey has become a proven tactic to secure success on the water. Granting the ability to cover large sections of river efficiently and effectively, lighter rods matched with modern line systems can be a difference-maker, especially when other methods leave anglers empty-netted. With progressive flex patterns, medium-fast spey actions, and pumped power levels, IMX-PRO V2 SHORTSPEY models jack casts like your favorite "big rod". A proprietary blend of technologies - Conduit Core and GL7 resin system - enhances positive feel, swing weight, and subtle subsurface bite detection.
That said, don't take it from us. Experience this diverse set of purpose-driven actions for yourself. Because, after all, actions speak louder than words.
NRXtop
LIKE NOTHING WE HAVE BUILT BEFORE
NRX is the culmination of what we have been doing at G.Loomis since day one. We have been continually striving to build the best rod on the planet. Laminates, resin, mandrels, components and the know how you expect from us. These NRX rods look like nothing we have built before. They feel better than anything we have built before. We aren't talking about a little better here or a little lighter there...What we are saying so there is no confusion... ” This is the Best Fly Rod Ever Built!” Period!”
NRX + Spey/Switchtop
Power, Line Speed and Loop Stability without compromising Feel
Four-season spey anglers face a horde of tricky obstacles. Wildly fluctuating water levels and clarity, alternating directional wind, and complex hydraulics are just a few of the familiar factors two-hand casters must regularly overcome. Successfully securing a hook-up on the swing is difficult enough. Take control, and conquer common variables with balanced fishing tools forged to amplify effectiveness in volatile fishing environments.
Regardless of line system used, these adaptable actions were developed to boost performance, enhance angler ability, and maximize versatility. Rolled with our most advanced compound taper construction to date, NRX+ SPEY provides the power, line speed, and loop stability expected from modern two-hand rods, without compromising “feel” and finesse through each stage of the casting cycle.
Gaelforce
Equalizertop
An optimum balance of length and line weight
Choosing the right club is perhaps the most important decision that a golfer can make. If the golfer is 145 yards from the hole, he might select either a 6- or a 7- iron, depending on the direction of the wind and a variety of other factors. A 5-iron may put him over the green. An 8-iron might not be enough club.
Choosing the right salmon rod is a similar exercise. The dimensions of the river, the size of the fly, and the size of the fish come into play. For a midsized river, a 14-foot rod may put the fly in the bushes on the far bank. A 12-foot rod might not be enough rod, requiring the angler to expend too much energy to cover the holding lies. A 13-foot salmon rod is the right tool for the job in these circumstances.
Utilizing the finest new graphite materials in the construction of the black, the GAELFORCE Equalizer allows the angler to fish "fine and far off" with ultimate precision. The strong tip and the deep progressive action - the signature flex of the Equalizer series - eliminate side deflection of the tip when lifting line from the water and provide maximum feedback when making a change of direction with sustained-anchor casts or with traditional spey casts.

Ultralite NSX DHtop
"Two Hands are Better than One"
The old saying, "two hands are better than one" could have been invented for the Salmon and Steelhead angler, but there's never been more ways to catch fish with a two-handed set-up than today. The ability to cast heavy-wind resistant flies for great distances with ease, and more importantly, control them when they reach the target, has opened up new possibilities. The new, comprehensive range of Ultralite two-handed rods bring increased levels of feel, in-hand balance, and all-important fish fighting power when you need it most.

Epic Waterstop
Developed with the crew from Epic Waters in Northern BC
When we set out to develop a rod series for a more north american heritage, we looked no further than the crew of Epic Waters, with decades of experience in one of the world's most sought after fisheries, the crew at Epic Waters truly brought all of the experience they have accumulated into these rods and we couldn't be more excited to collaborate with them with this rod series.
Original Spey/Switchtop
Our first series of rods
For our first series of rods, we designed something that spoke to the DNA of the company, we wanted a rod that could do it all and would be the perfect utilitarian fishing tool for fishing within the product range.
The original rod with a sleek minimalist appearance but with a subtle sophistication is a do-it fishing tool to handle a variety of styles and situations with power to spare when generating line speed to deliver your fly.
REN Seriestop
High level of precision with extreme sensitivity
The REN Blanks are made of a unique graphite blend with incredible tensile strength. This makes it possible to equip the rods with a very light, fine tip that combines a high level of precision with extreme sensitivity. The non-progressive medium to deep action in the main part of the blank provides a balanced casting feel. The result: very high line speeds without sacrificing finesse. Already on the first meters of the line, the rod is loaded, even without having to frantically "flail" the rod.
The thin blank made of modern carbon fiber presents itself in a traditional dark brown finish. Blank with ultra-light but robust snake guides and a stripping guide, made of titanium. Delgado cork handles in absolute top quality. The black anodized aluminum reel seat includes maple wood spacer on the 4wt and 5wt, all in traditional Scandinavian design.
OPST (Olympic Peninsula Skagit Tactics)
Micro Skagittop
Micro two-handed rods
The Micro Skagit category consists of three rods rated to cast 275 grain heads or lower. Their tapers have been designed to pleasantly accommodate both single-handed Spey/Skagit-type casts and two-handed Spey/Skagit-type casts. Whether you're picking apart small to medium sized rivers on foot swinging soft hackles, throwing big streamers into the bank from a boat, or busting big bushy salmon flies into the teeth of an afternoon breeze, these nifty little hybrid rods should have a permanent place in your quiver. The 9'9" 3wt, 10' 4wt, and 10'4" 5wt. all have cigar-style single-welled upper grips and switch-style lower handles. This series also stands apart from others in its class because it's short length enables great overhead casting. This means you could go out and swing streamers in the morning with your skagit head, but also have the option of swapping over to a dry fly line when you see a hatch that needs to be taken advantage of.
Pure Skagittop
Designed by legendary angler and skagit casting proponent, Ed Ward.
Our Pure Skagit Rod line-up is definitively more focused towards traditional Spey/Skagit-type two-handed casting. Represented by a 10’8” 6wt, an 11’ 7wt, an 11’6’ 8wt, and a 12'3" 9wt, they depart from our Micro Series in a few ways. The upper grips are double-welled and thus more aligned with contemporary two-handed rods under 12’, while the lower handles remain switch-style. These rods are also faster than the Micro series, being a true medium-fast action that casts off the upper third of the taper. This taper loads very well during the Sweep phase of the Skagit casting sequence and maintaining that load into the Forward Cast, with a very crisp final delivery. This rod line-up is targeted toward the fishing of large trout up to Canadian and Alaskan King Salmon.

Swingtop
All Anadromous
To catch steelhead and salmon, you need to swing the fly at the right angle, the right depth, and the right speed. The right rod can help solve that puzzle.
But these are the fish of a thousand casts, so preferences also play a big role. You can fish the same fish in the same water with a single hander, a short two hander, or the very longest rods. You can fish floating line, sinking line, dry flies, wet flies, traditional swing, riffle hitch, nymph and indicator. Long belly, Skagit, Scandi. The variations are endless. We get it, so we made a series of rods that satify your every preference.
Swing rods were meticulously developed and are loaded with technology and attention to detail to meet those demands.
Fished and tested by professional anglers and expert casters from Alaska to the Great Lakes, from Canada to Norway, and from the Pacific Northwest to the Northeast, we left no stone unturned making sure each rod was fine-tuned for its intended purpose.
