Fly Fishing and Entomology
Perfect for those who are just getting started or for those who want to get more out of the sport. The objective here is to properly introduce students to the world of flyfishing as it pertains to British Columbia so that the students will quickly learn the basics that are essential to becoming a successful flyfisher. We will be covering a wide range of topics such as proper tackle selection, trout physiology, physical and chemical characteristics of lakes and rivers as well as entomology coupled with proper fly selection. The course will be followed with an optional Sunday Fishout at a Merritt area lake. It should be emphasized that this is not a flycasting or flytying course, although certain aspects of each will be touched on.
